Aporia
Performed doubt: the speaker wonders aloud what to say, or whether it can be said at all. Sometimes the doubt is real, sometimes staged; either way it dramatizes honesty and difficulty.
"To be, or not to be, that is the question" — deliberation as spectacle
Don't confuse it with Rhetorical Question. A rhetorical question presumes its answer; aporia performs not having one.
